Busy as shit weekend. I had to figure out why my PC wouldn’t run a lab for my college class. It took me days...so I am a week and a day behind my class, but I am 3 weeks ahead in another class and on time in the 3rd.

I have to go home and do 3 hours of labs to catchup then start on this week’s assignments. I am so tired...

I went to the Festival of SPEEEED on Sunday and saw some badass cars..and one that is a worse version of mine! Sigh...

I’m still several weeks away from getting my truck out of storage. I’m getting antsy. And just when I think, “well, I could go in the morning when the road isn’t muddy (because it’s frozen)...” and I see literally PILES of salt on the roads at major intersections. My son said, “Wow! It looks like snow!”

I hate salt on roads.

The fuel pump died in the Camaro, almost leaving me stranded at Texas Roadhouse. Since the car is down for a bit I thought I’d tackle another issue - the loose wiper motor. Got everything disassembled to find that I need these little rubber grommets to hold the motor in place - they’re proprietary and discontinued.

Good. We are 90% moved into our new house. Moving is so freaking hard; I’ll never do it again. On the plus side, the house is excellent and once my daughter starts at her new daycare that’s not 20-25 minutes away my commute will be a breeze.

Still working to get our house ready to put on the market. Got some stuff boxed up and moved to a storage unit this weekend as well as a dump run. Carpet guy is coming Tuesday to measure and real estate agents will be over some time this week to give a market appraisal and let us know what else we should do. One thing is clear, I’m old. And sore.

I’m just off to bed as I’m back at work tonight, Tuesday and Thursday, I would of been off Thursday as it’s Good Friday on Friday so I could of had it off and got paid but hey, never mind, I get time and a half and some time off with it, plus I’m off next weekend as it’s payday weekend and I’ve still got a large sum (for some reason) of cash left over in my bank so may treat myself to some car cleaning stuff along with the detailers easter discount codes and offers.

Someplace with more than a one car garage and driveway (also bigger closets, pantry, and other unimportant things). I have my eye on a four-car garage palace. I just hope it’s still on the market when we’re set to buy, but that’s unlikely.

That’s the plan for now. We really don’t want to find ourselves with two mortgage payments if our house doesn’t sell for the price we need in a timely manner. It wouldn’t break us, but we’d rather not deal with that. There will be some lag anyway since it takes a while for VA loans to process.

It is; the process sucked but what a relief(we were at a family members house; though they weren’t living there it’s still not the same as having your own place.) Thank god we ponied up for this house too; one house has been listed in the neighborhood we were looking for near our price range since then.

Have you still been looking seriously or has your spirit been crushed?

We have the luxury of having both of our parents’ houses available plus my wife works for a hotel management company so we can get a free room if the in-laws drive us batty. That said, if we get assurances from our realtor that we won’t have a problem selling we might jump before we sell if the right house pops up to avoid getting up close and personal with them. We crashed with my in-laws a couple years back when a big windstorm knocked out our power for a week and it was...challenging.
